About TRENTON

With nearly two decades of experience on stage, behind the mic, and in the studio, Trenton creates to the size of his heart, not to the size of the audience. Raised in Texas, he began singing and acting before 10 years old and eventually found himself immersed in theater, improv troupes, live music, & film. Inevitably, entertainment, production, and multimedia art became and has remained his focus.

Trenton is a founding member of the folk-pop ensemble Seryn, whose music has been featured by Disney, Clayton Homes, Wells Fargo, Whataburger, MTV, VH1, Showtime, and countless others. The group has been praised for their captivating live shows, emotionally charged compositions, and dynamic orchestrations. Trenton also produces and performs music under the stage name Topknot (short for his tribal given name Owl Topknot Feather), combining influences of 80’s synth-pop & rock with twangy guitars and cinematic climaxes reminiscent of a spaghetti western soundtrack.

Honoring his Blackfeet/Métis heritage, Trenton continues the tradition of Northern Plains grassing and regularly hosts educational enrichment programs and speaking events. He is an advocate for Indigenous peoples and has served on the board of directors for the Native American Indian Association of Tennessee.

Trenton, his wife Marissa, and their three children live in Nashville, TN.
